Resize images to the dimensions you need
Resize JPG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF images in batches while keeping each image’s original format. Resize by width, height, percentage, or fit within a bounding box to preserve proportions. Use exact size when you need a specific width and height.
- Images are processed on your device and are not uploaded.
- Up to 50 images per batch, 20 MiB per file, and 200 MiB of source files or results. There is no fixed pixel cap; browser memory and format support determine what can be processed.
- Each result keeps its source format. Lossy formats are encoded again at maximum quality. Animated images become a still frame, and metadata may be removed.
How to resize an image
- Choose images from your device, drag in a batch, or paste images from your clipboard.
- Choose a resize mode and enter your dimensions or percentage. Each image is sized independently using its own proportions.
- Select Resize images, preview the thumbnails, and download individual results or the entire batch as a ZIP.
- Width, height, and fit modes preserve each image’s proportions. Fit uses both dimensions as a bounding box without cropping.
- Percentage scales each image relative to its original size: 50% halves its dimensions and 200% doubles them.
- Exact size applies the entered width and height to every image and may stretch images with different proportions.
Resize without changing proportions
For a 1600 × 1200 image, resize by width and enter 800. The result is 800 × 600. A 1200 × 1600 portrait in the same batch becomes 800 × 1067. Alternatively, use 50% to halve both images’ dimensions.
Choose the right dimensions for your photo
Fit a photo into a maximum size
For a 1600 × 1200 photo, Fit within 1000 × 1000 produces 1000 × 750. The whole image stays visible without cropping. This is useful when a website sets a maximum width and height.
Resize, crop or compress?
Resize changes pixel dimensions. Crop removes the outer parts of the picture to change the composition. Compress aims to reduce file size while keeping dimensions. If an upload asks for both a shape and a file size limit, crop first, resize if needed, then compress.
